TELUK KILUAN TRIP!
So yes we've made it to Teluk Kiluan. It was really an adventure. We woke up at 2.30 in the morning (might as well not SLEEP!) and packed the ayam bakar and the rice with the brown paper (old style) and then head off to Honda to be picked by the travel we booked (each costs Rp.800.000, it was an APV car, and it can fit up to 7 person)
and it was THE BEST DECISION EVER!
the road is really really off-road style, (as seen below... )
and to be honest, if we were to stick with our first plan (use our own car)
I believe I'll not have a blog to post by now. we'd chickened out and head back home! LOLZ.
but the trip was really worthed..
the dolphin trip, ah the beloved dolphin trip. too bad I don't have pictures to show to you guys, because the wave is too big, and i sat at the very front of the boat.
So my d5000 got wet!! %^&*)%#@
luckily its nothing serious, my camera doctor (Lia) cleaned it up for me nice and good, and its running well up til this morning <3 much love to her!! But just to tease you all, we did see dolphins, there are hundreds of them! (no, I'm not exaggerating, ask the other 15 people who went with us).. and my boat (Daino, Louis and me) saw the dolphins doing the flipping thing (jumping on air, and twirling like a ballerina)
TRUE STORY!!
it was worthed, 2 hours sitting on a tiny boat at the very front, being splashed rigorously by those damn big waves and feeling funny (like when you're in those roller coaster rides) everytime the boat crash the waves (and make those big splashes)
and the sea, oh the sea.. its a deep blue sea, crystal clear sky and clean white sands with corals and with fishes I've only seen in aquarium before.. hahaha. we have those big triangular-ish fish swimming next to us , and it was the size of a full grown man's paw, probably bigger.
we were swimming and doing the doggy style swim as we enjoy the beach.. and we had ayam bakar after that!! (sorry no pictures of it too, this beloved photographer got too hungry and all she can think of is that juicy ayam bakar and Mbak Gini's mad devilish sambal! hahaha)
and then we continue by exploring the rest of the island, and found some really interesting sea shells, and some strategic photo spots,
and I came across this lady who's digging something out of the corals and I asked her what she's doing. turns out she's digging some sort of shell for her to eat. hmm .. food people eat. interesting..
and after that we head back to our place to shower, went to bale bengong, relax and enjoy the breeze..
and some photoshoots too!
well overall, this trip is TOTALLY AWESOME!
and I totally recommend y'all to go there,
and here are some of the tips i can give you :
1. do stay overnight there if you can. its not as bad as people say. I've personally checked out the cottages, and its okay. the cottages are next to the beach, it's rumah panggung style and you have to bring your own tikar and pillows and blanket. the dock that we're taking pictures at are connected to the cottage, so you have your own private dock (how romantic is that??)
we visit Louis's friend's cottage who's staying overnight there, and took pics!
2. Bring fruits, snacks, and some spices (yes true the locals can cook the meal for you , Rp.10.000 per plate, with standard tahu tempe sayur and stuffs, but sometimes they ran out of minyak goreng, telor and they don't have chicken stock, I think all they have is salt and pepper, lol), so do bring spices if you want to eat something that doen't taste so bland.. and SAMBAL!! oh yum sambal makes everything taste better ;)
3. ANTIMO is a must for a person with weak stomach. lol.
4. wear Crocs or some rubber sandals, and wear them while you're snorkling or swimming. There's a lot of Ikan Lepok and corals, don't want to ruin the trip with you screaming in pain because you step on either of those two.
its useful when you wanted to take a shower too! as the bathroom is slightly slippery and eewie.. but they have clean water, so thats all we need.
5. Never, ever, (again, ever!) bring your SLR camera on the dolphin trip! or else you'll end up with a wet camera like me.
Do bring those waterproof camera if you have one, it'll come in handy.

Milo Doggies Cookies and Some major awesomeness.
We had dinner at Louis's auntie's house, it was his mom's birthday and we're celebrating it with KETUPAT!!

and afterwards, we move to our house and start making the Milo Doggies Cookies, and it turned out super cute!
although there's only half a batch of doggies, and the rest were craps. hahaha.
there's some guy with Turban, cats, bunnies, dice, Freed car, and I made boobies! :D hahaha.

we went to Pizza e Birra and was amazed!
we went to pizza e Birra last Sunday and was amazed to know that it's an Indonesian brand, not some franchise. it looks so .. well.. GOOD!

the appetizers, french fries with chili, quite spicy, but for us Indos, not that spicy :D

and we love the foods and the beers.. (although I only get to try the rootbeer, but still, good.)
